ABOUT ALEX RANNIELLO . . .
Alex Ranniello (Alexander Califournia) is a mixed media studio painter based in Bloomfield, Connecticut. His forte is portraiture and figure painting and utilizes colored pencils, pastels oils & acrylics. Ranniello’s paintings embody the highest spirits of summertime capturing the pinnacle of the human spirit. His painting style features bright luminous colors, robust open-ended brushstrokes, all encapsulated by graphically vivid contours. The characters he paints are set in cheerful, tropical, and warm summer scenery immersed by juicy fresh fruit, pool figurines, and other elements emblematic of the warm weather. Many of his titles harken back to towns, cities, and landmarks of California to give these works a local flavor while paying respect to the beautiful scenery & culture.
