WORLD OF MINIATURES - morning
9am- 12 noon Step into the tiny and magical world of miniatures! Campers will design and build small-scale scenes, dioramas, or tiny objects using a variety of materials and techniques. Suggested ages: 8-12

COMIC BOOKS & ILLUSTRATION - afternoon
1 pm - 4 pm Bring your stories to life through comics and illustration! Campers will develop characters, craft storylines, and learn drawing techniques to create their very own mini books. Suggested ages: 8-12.

JEWELRY MAKING - morning
9 am - 12 noon Create wearable works of art! Campers will explore different jewelry-making techniques, including beading, wirework, and polymer clay, to design their own unique accessories. Suggested ages: 8-12 |
PRINTMAKING - afternoon
1pm - 4pm Discover the exciting possibilities of printmaking! Using stamps, stencils, and relief techniques, campers will experiment with color, texture, and repetition to make bold and beautiful prints. Suggested ages: 8-12 |
INTENSIVE DRAWING - morning
9 am - 12 noon Sharpen your drawing skills in this focused workshop! Campers will practice techniques in shading, perspective, and composition while working with a variety of drawing materials. Suggested ages: 11-14 |
FIBER & FABRIC MAGIC - afternoon
1 pm - 4 pm Explore the colorful world of fiber arts! Campers will learn techniques like tie dye, batik, felting, and embroidery to create unique fabric-based artworks and imaginative textile pieces. Suggested ages: 11-14 |
INTENSIVE CERAMICS Part I - morning
9am- 12 noon Get your hands dirty and dive into the world of clay! Campers will learn hand-building techniques such as slab, coil, and pinch construction to create functional and sculptural ceramics. Suggested ages: 11-14

BOOKMAKING - afternoon
1 pm- 4 pm Turn paper into art! Campers will learn how to craft handmade books using folding, binding, and decorative techniques to create journals, sketchbooks, and explosion books. Suggested ages: 11-14

9am- 12 noon Get your hands dirty and dive into the world of clay! Campers will learn hand-building techniques such as slab, coil, and pinch construction to create functional and sculptural ceramics. Suggested ages: 11-14

WATERCOLOR WONDERS - afternoon
1pm- 14pm Explore the beauty of watercolor painting! Campers will experiment with washes, layering, and special effects to create stunning landscapes, abstract art, and expressive illustrations. Suggested ages: 11-14

ABOUT JULIA CASTNER
Julia Castner is a local teaching artist who instructs the middle grades of Wallingford Public Schools. She has a State of Connecticut Art Teaching Certificate and is just completing her Master in Art. While she has a fondness for many different media in art and craft, painting will always be her first art love.
ABOUT KATHI GORMAN
Kathi Gorman is a retired Meriden Public Schools Art Teacher and Co-President of Gallery 53's Board of DIrectors. In her role at Gallery 53, Kathi teaches numerous art and craft classes and is an integral part of the Gallery's "Mosaic Magic" Team!
