JUDGE'S STATEMENT
Birds & Blooms is a wonderful representation of nature illustrated by a wide variety of mediums all beautifully executed in their individual style. I had to step out of my own contemporary realistic style of painting to properly judge this show. It is obvious by the quality of the work that the technical skill required to create these works were years in the making. Hats off to all of you. It is a fabulous show.
While we recognize the beauty of a piece of art made by another, we understand that artist has a connection with their selected subject and are willing to share their aesthetic experience. Through your sharing we become aware of our mutual humanity. Nature is beautiful, may we all strive to preserve it. - Ellie Bender |
