The Hanging Hills - Autumn Sunset
"I’ve had this view of The Hanging Hills in my mind for a couple years now but could not capture what I envisioned until this past October. I’ve often said you need proper light, atmosphere and composition to create a compelling photo.
It’s a rare day when all three elements are orchestrated together to make the magic happen.
On that day I grabbed my drone and headed to Hubbard Park and hovered the craft just above the tree line of South Mountain looking west towards East and West Peak.
The setting sun along with the still clearing sky created a thick but soft and luminous atmosphere with sunlight skimming the edges of East and West Peak.
The unexpected bonus was the ground fog forming on Merimere Reservoir allowing Mine Island to protrude from the fog creating a unique image of our ridges from above that few people have seen." - Peter Wnek

This photograph is printed and signed by Peter Wnek. Peter prepares and protects the photograph using an acrylic glaze over the image thus requiring no glass with the framing. This technique results in a painterly look to the photograph.
