Summer’s Light at Castle Craig
The hazy days of an August morning provided the perfect conditions for a classic birds eye view of the castle and ridges of the Meriden area. I am attracted to the look and feel of the romantic landscape often portrayed by the 19th century Hudson River painters and was thrilled to see that nostalgic romance developing before my eyes as I captured this image.
As the Hudson River painters often did, I too strive for that same warm light, luminous clouds and moody shadows that can bathe the landscape, creating a soothing ambiance that soothes the viewers soul.
This is is a 12x9” photo framed to 15x12” in a beautiful high quality black wood frame with a soft gold lip and smooth finish.
This photograph is printed and signed by Peter Wnek. Peter prepares and protects the photograph using an acrylic glaze over the image thus requiring no glass with the framing. This technique results in a painterly look to the photograph.
