Autumn’s Light at Castle Craig
Photography at sunrise at the castle can be a bit tricky as the rising sun in the east often overpowers the foreground landscape. On this crisp October morning the high cirrus clouds created a soft glow and warmth to the sun as it cast its light on the trees and ridges. I framed the photograph with the sun just outside the image and allowed to subsequent glare to the right of the image to add to the warmth and mood of the photo.
This aerial birds eye view shows the autumn colors in the trees on the ridge contrasting with the tones and textures of the cool ridge rock formation that serves as the base of the castle itself.
This is is a 16x8” photo framed to 17x11” in a beautiful high quality black wood frame with a soft light gold lip and smooth finish.
This photograph is printed and signed by Peter Wnek. Peter prepares and protects the photograph using an acrylic glaze over the image thus requiring no glass with the framing. This technique results in a painterly look to the photograph.
