Comments juror Karen Israel, "I enjoyed the detail in this pastel which was plentiful but not overpowering. The composition was solid with the grouping of flowers leading my eye to the distance then back at the flag and finally the lovely cast shadow into the porch. I was drawn in and wondered where this house was located and who lived there. The painting had a welcoming feeling."
