"Simple Cows," an oil painting by G53 artist and instructor Bonnie Potter, was awarded the Edward Bartlett Memorial Award in the 97th Annual Fall Art Show. Juror Karen Israel notes, “One can’t help looking into the lead cow’s eyes and I was further drawn in because the artist smartly varied each eye, with one eye having higher chroma and highlight. The lost edge of the smaller cow on the lower left, the simplified shapes of the fur and harmonious color palette made this a delight to observe.” Framed in a classic gold toned wood frame.
