Gallery 53 is delighted to announce that applications for the 2022 Irma P. Morse Art Scholarship are now available!
The scholarship is intended to aid a Meriden high school student with a good academic record and demonstrated community involvement who plans to pursue an art career. Besides being accepted as a full-time student at a recognized college, university, or community college, applicants must submit a portfolio of at least 10 pieces to be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
Applications are available at Maloney, Platt, or Wilcox guidance offices or can be downloaded by clicking the button above. Due date is April 30th.

ABOUT IRMA PECKHAM MORSE
Irma Peckham Morse was a noted local artist, businessperson, and civic leader. Mrs. Morse was a graduate of Pratt Institute in New York City and a member of the Meriden Hall of Fame. Her artwork won numerous awards at local and regional exhibits. Additionally, she served as President of Arts and Crafts Association of Meriden (now Gallery 53) and was instrumental in acquiring the organization’s building at 53 Colony Street. Ms. Morse's love of art and community service lives on today by supporting the next generation of local artists.
