4-Day Summer Watercolor Workshop
Monday, July 16 - Thursday, July 19 / 9:00 - 12:00 Cost: $100 Are you captivated by the freshness, spontaneity, vibrancy of watercolor? Join master nature watercolorist Candy Bialczak for a 4-day intensive watercolor workshop July 16th through 20th. Enjoy 4 mornings of relaxed outdoor painting at a different location each day! In case of rain, classes will be held at Gallery 53. |
STUDIO ART CLASSES / Ongoing
Gallery 53 offers ongoing art classes from September through June in our spacious, well-lit second floor studio. Sessions are available on a pay-as-you-go basis, preregistration is not necessary, walk-ins are welcome! If you're interested, we recommend calling Gallery 53 (203.235.5347) in advance to confirm availability. Attendees bring their own materials.

$22 per class for members / $25 for non-members Instructor: Bonnie Potter Expert Instructor Bonnie Potter shares her in depth knowledge to show you how to take your work to the next level! Bonnie will guide you through your individual oil, acrylic, or pastel project, offering concrete guidance on color mixing, drawing and composition. Her supportive approach creates a positive environment where beginners and experienced artists alike can continue to build their skills. |

There’s nothing like the challenge of drawing or painting from life to help you learn to see and grow as an artist! That's why Gallery 53's Portrait Classes feature live models that rotate every 3 weeks. Artists are free to paint or draw using the medium of their choice in these 2 11/2 hour studio sessions. There is no instructor, but these weekly sessions offer you an excellent opportunity to sharpen your observation and rendering skills.
MODELS NEEDED!
Would you like to have your portrait painted? We always need models. The only requirements are a 3 WEEK COMMITMENT and the ability to sit still for 3 45 minute sittings. Interested? Call Ellie at 203-237-5224
