Weekend Class

Indigo is a plant-based dye used in many cultures that creates beautiful blue colors ranging from light baby blue to deep, rich dark blue. Indigo is often used with a variety of resist techniques to create striking designs. In this class, Lynn Fisher will demonstrate both tied and simple clamped resist techniques and guide students through the dying process.
Bring one or two items to dye. Any items you bring should be made of cellulose fibers such as cotton, hemp, linen, rayon. To prepare items for dying, wash them in hot water with detergent only, no fabric softeners or dryer sheets. Bring an apron or wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dye on. Also, bring a plastic bag to carry your items home.
There is an additional $10 material fee, payable to instructor on day of workshop.
