Snowflake Paper Quilling Workshop
SNOWFLAKE PAPER QUILLING WORKSHOP with Marcy Kaplan
Thursday, November 14 l 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Learn the Ancient Art of Paper Quilling. This art form dates back to ancient Egypt, through the Renaissance, and came to America by way of the Pilgrims. Paper Quilling works with long strips of colored paper that are rolled on a quilling pen, and then shaped and formed to create intricate designs. We will be creating and designing an attractive, swirling snowflake with a pearl accent, using various quilling techniques and tools. Your final freestanding piece will look beautiful hung from your mantel or holiday tree, or incorporated into a wreath..
A materials fee, $15, payable by either cash or check, is also due the first night of class.
This is a "Thirsty Thursday" Event, so feel free to bring your favorite beverage - and enjoy!
This is our 3rd "Serial Quiller" Workshop this season, in the first two, participants create framed pieces, in this workshop participants make a free standing decorative piece.
Please note: classes are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you can receive a credit to apply to a future class.
