Saturday, March 28th 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Lily Stabile, Instructor
Ages 4 - 7
Perfect for children ages 4–7, this engaging read-aloud and craft class brings Jan Brett’s beloved story The Mitten to life. We’ll begin by reading the book together, coupled with a group discussion. After the story, children will move into a hands-on art activity inspired by the book.
Each child will receive a white cardboard mitten with pre-punched holes and colorful yarn to create their own unique “stitched” mitten. Through this guided project, participants will be introduced to beginner needlework skills such as threading and simple stitching, while building fine motor coordination, focus, and creative confidence.
This class is designed to be welcoming, calm, and age-appropriate, offering young learners a meaningful blend of literacy and art-making. All materials are provided and no prior experience is required.
Cost is $15 for one child, $25 for two children. No material fees.
Class size is limited, don't miss out, register early!
