What if Marc David Chapman never made it to The Dakota in December 1980? What if Paul McCartney decided to honor his wife Linda’s passing with a benefit concert 28 years after the break-up?

The Ultimate "What If" Story for Beatles Fans & Music Lovers!
In “Reunion: a Rock and Roll Fairy Tale” Gary Burr asks these questions - then imagines the events leading up to a fictional Beatles reunion concert.
Join us for a Meet & Greet with singer, songwriter, musician AND author Gary Burr on July 16th! Burr, a Meriden native, has published a book built around the premise of a fictional Beatles reunion concert. Informed by his knowledge of how a tour comes together, what happens at sound check, and what it’s like to step onto a stage and hear a crowd roar, the book is an entertaining and engaging read.
Burr, who will be performing at The Meriden Green with The Laurel Canyon Band the following evening, July 17th, will be on hand to share anecdotes from his life in the music biz, talk about how he came up with the concept for “Reunion,” and sign copies of the book.

ABOUT GARY BURR . . .
Gary Burr is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer, primarily in the country music genre. He's a member of the Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, with 32 top-forty hits, 24 top-tens, and 14 number-ones. His songs have been recorded by Christina Aguilera, Garth Brooks, Kenny Rogers, Joe Cocker, Reba McEntire, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Kelly Clarkson, and many others. He’s been named Songwriter of the Year by Billboard, ASCAP and twice by the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International.
Gary replaced Vince Gill as lead singer of Pure Prairie League, spent years writing and performing all over the world with pop legend Carole King, and co-founded Blue Sky Riders with his wife Georgia Middleman and pop icon Kenny Loggins. In the early 2000s, Gary was invited to work on a record with Ringo Starr, beginning a decades-long friendship that continues to this day. They have now recorded ten albums together. His years of friendship and working alongside living legends like Ringo, Carole and Kenny have given him profound insights into what goes on in front of and behind the curtain. All of that helped inspire and bring life and authenticity to Gary’s first novel, Reunion. . |
