Gallery 53 launches the first in a series of exhibits celebrating our nation with America the Beautiful, an art exhibition inspired by the diverse landscapes of the United States.
From intimate vignettes to sweeping vistas, this exhibit will showcase artistic interpretations of the American environment. Works may capture everything from mountains, coastlines, and rural fields to suburbs, cityscapes, and the varied climates and terrains that shape our national landscape. |
Artists are encouraged to explore this theme in a wide range of styles—from super realism to abstract expressionism. Accepted media include painting, drawing, mixed media, digital art, photography, and sculpture.
America the Beautiful: 2026 Landscape Art Exhibit will be on exhibit in the gallery from June 6th through July 30th. Plus, you'll have the option of being included in the virtual exhibit and social media. Detailed entry information is below.

JUDGE: LINDA BOISVERT-DeSTEFANIS
|
Linda Boisvert-DeStefanis is an award-winning Connecticut-based contemporary realist painter. The artist is celebrated for her luminous waterscapes and landscapes, which focus on fleeting light and reflections. She works primarily in oils, with a specialization in painting on smooth, white or metallic coated aluminum.
Linda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Connecticut State University and worked as a graphic designer for over 30 years. However, her heart always belonged to fine art, and she continued to paint and exhibit while working and raising a family. In recent years, she’s been free to dedicate the majority of her time to creating fine art. Her works have been accepted into prestigious juried exhibitions including NOAPS International and the Lyme Art Association. Ms. DeStefanis has exhibited throughout Connecticut, Long Island and Florida, and her work is in a number of private collections. |
Besides teaching painting in her private studio and Arts Center East in Vernon, Linda is an active member of Connecticut Women Artists, Inc, where she served as President from 2017 to 2020. She is also a member of the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, an Elected Artist member of the Madison Art Society and Clinton Art Society, and an Elected Artist at Lyme Art Association. She is also a member of the Academic Artist Association and an Elected Artist at the prestigious American Artist Professional League.
